Active Member Awards

MASBO has three award programs to recognize the contributions of its members: The School Business Official of the Year Award, the Rising Star Award, and the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award. Application forms for 2017 will be available in February, 2017. All nominations are to be submitted via the on-line nomination form--links to nomination instructions are included below.

In addition to MASBO's awards, ASBO and the Minnesota Department of Education offer recognition (see below).

School Business Official of the Year Award

The School Business Official of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding practices and new ideas of Minnesota school business officials. Nominees will be evaluated based upon their contributions to their districts, their communities and to the profession; regardless of the size of their districts and their job titles. This award is meant to honor the current accomplishments and contributions of MASBO members, and is not intended to be a capstone to the end of a career. The recipient of the award will be recognized at the Thursday luncheon at the MASBO Annual Conference in May, and will receive a $2000 scholarship to be awarded in their home district. In addition, the recipient will receive paid registration to the ASBO Eagle Institute (to be taken within two years of receiving award).
